Up Flush Toilet
67The up flush toilet allows people who want a toilet in their basement but do not have the plumbing installed in the basement floor to use the toilet. This is great because breaking up the concrete and installing plumbing can get very expensive. These type of toilets are also sometimes called a macerating toilet.
How Does The Up Flush Toilet Work?
When the toilet is flushed the water level rises pushing the waste material into the grinding motor, the motor start automatically and the blades grind all of the waste contents into small pieces usually in about 3 to 4 seconds. This waster material is pumped out via a standard pump with a 3/4" to 1" discharge pipe.
The pump empties the tank and is ready to use again.
In the future an elongated toilet version of the up flush toilet may be available for even more flexibility in style and design. Also don't forget to purchase elongated toilet lid covers in a variety of colors for your bathroom.
What Are the Benefits Of An Up Flush Macerating Toilet?
Have a toilet where standard waste transport systems are not available. The Up Flush toilet is build with quality parts, but also is designed with looks in mind as it has minimal impact on a bathroom's decor.
The small diameter pipe is unobtrousive and is hardly noticable, it can even be built within a "dummay wall" to hide all traces of it. The macerator / pumping unit is sealed and should require no ongoing maintenance if maintained properly.
Simply put the up flush toilet system allows you to have a toilet in just about any below ground installation you can think of.
